It's always better to buy jeans that are slightly bigger, because they can be altered fairly easily. Recently, a customer had a total of five designer jeans altered. By far the most typical alteration nowadays is making jeans skinny... an incredibly simple alteration that completely transforms your body. The second thing we did to these jeans was add an extra button so he could comfortably readjust himself after particularly heavy dinners. A patch in the derriere, fixing the length of the jeans, and even creating a secret pocket. Needless to say, the client looked like he walked out of the runway.
Designer jeans are nice, but there's no reason why your favorite pair of jeans can't get a much needed TLC.
Bit of advice: never get rid of a pair of jeans you absolutely love, they are irreplaceable
