Another prom season successfully completed!

It's been eight years since we have been our current location, twelve years in total servicing the Fort Worth community, 30 years in the industry over all.  We love prom season and are ecstatic to be a part of it. Honestly, this is what makes our lives worth living, proms are a fantasy we are lucky to be a part of (weddings and quinceaneras are a very close second!).

We thank you for being a part of our lives and letting us be a part of yours. We are sort of old fashioned and rarely log into online media (we need to get better at that!) but just want to thank you folks for trusting us with your garments season after season.

We love what we do and the best reward for us is seeing you happy and confident about the way you look. I guess this post is just to thank you for being a part of the community and trusting us do what we do. We love our customers so much, thank you for sticking with us year after year, you guys make life worth living for. We love seeing your happy faces!

Have a great summer and enjoy your vacations!
If you have something you need done during the summer, we'll be here!<3 div="">

Summer's Here!

Finally, summer is here! Unfortunately, so is summer weather.  Gone are the gorgeous prom dresses and here come the beautiful summer brides.  I must say, I am jealous of the lucky ones born in Spring/Summer, yours truly was born in February and we don't have great weather to accompany any birthday celebrations.

There's much to do during summer.  So many weddings to attend, birthday parties, summer parties, vacations! So much to do, yet so little one wants to wear.  Let's be honest here, we live in Texas.  I'll be the first one to admit, I hate wearing clothes during the summer.  The less clothing, the better.  However, we can't go around getting arrested for public indecency so we've got to come up with ways of dressing for these hot summer days.

The answer to the summer problem is shorts!
Shorts for men, women, kids.

No dress codes during summertime, let's all wear shorts!

Some prom dress styles I can't get enough of.

Sexy Sequin Dresses

Make Vintage New Again

There's something so classic about vintage pieces.  Vintage dresses really stand the test of time, they are a symbol of a time, a way of life.  One of my favorite hobbies is seeking really intricate vintage dresses and giving them a modern twist.
Perhaps the best vintage dresses to re-vamp are those from the 80's.  The dresses from the 80's were all about decadence and great, lavish design.  Every now and then I find incredible sequin dresses at vintage shops and I just have to get them, it's really a shame to let these works of art go to waste.  The easiest way to transform an outdated dress is to hem it above the knee.  Vintage dresses tend to be longer than what we're used to nowadays and cutting it and making it tight on your body gives it that "wow" factor.
Vintage dresses from two decades ago also had these annoying shoulder pads that I just can't stand.  Remove the shoulder pads, make the sleeves tight, hem the dress and voila, a cute dress no one will have, but everyone will rave about!
Designers are catching up to the idea and are putting out sequin dresses that evoke the glamorous, extravagant eras long gone.

haute couture or alta costura

Alta costura means a garment is made one hundred percent by hand and under the request of a particular client.  All beading, pleading, sewing, is mostly done by hand.  Most dresses designed in big fashion houses are out of the reach of the average citizen, however, if you look closely you might be able to replicate a haute couture dress very economically, you just have to know where to look and of course, be very patient.

Haute couture is borderline unwearable, it is not the ready-to-wear found in stores.  Couture requires good taste and appreciation of art, not to mention bravery.

Here some vintage haute couture, followed by more recent creations.

Unique dresses, oh my!

Love, love, love unique dresses.  Lately denim has been the fabric of choice, but once a girl slips into a beautiful dress, she craves more!
